Baltimore-Based Creative Brings Color & Conversation to Life at BCPL | Program Highlight & Recap It all started with an idea... One year ago, I self-published Beauty: The Affirmation Coloring Book: The Beautiful Faces of African American Women. What began as pages of personal reflection has evolved into Color & Conversation—a multigenerational creative experience designed to spark connection, reflection, and self-expression through the simple act of coloring. As a Baltimore-based creative, I’m proud to bring a new kind of arts-based experience to the DMV region, especially for Black women, moms, and youth. This program is ideal for community centers, women's and children's ministries, mom groups, summer camps, conferences, workshops, and anyone seeking meaningful things to do that cultivate personal confidence, creativity, and community engagement. Our first featured event at the Baltimore County Public Library (BCPL) – Randallstown Branch was a beautiful kickoff. The experience encouraged reflection and empowerment through conversation, art, and affirmation. Even more exciting—I've been invited to return this October at the BCPL Sollers Point Branch. And yes, more dates across Baltimore County library branches are currently in the works. This program is part of C.P. Hale Innovations Estate LLC’s community initiative, designed to support youth, women, and families through intentional and uplifting creative community engagement.
